Hi, I am Sharad Patel
I am an Auteur, Entrepreneur, Film Producer…
My innings began with a bang with the success of Chhello Divas, a Regional Gujarati blockbuster. And I intend to go on. Read on more to know about me.
“What is it I seek?”
I was born on 29th May 1987. I prefer the silence of sweet music. I like to see things change and grow with time, like vines that intertwine each other to the point of mingling unrecognizable. I like to see new sights and hear new sounds and then I move ahead to the next rhythm. Seeing and experiencing life remains as my cherished activity; I throw in challenges to better myself.
In a small city, as fulfilling as a metropolis, I did my schooling and college to earn my degrees by which time I grew disillusioned as my inner yearning outgrew the limited opportunities available. I wanted more.
“Glamour? Fame? Celebrity? Class?”
Glamour? Fame? Celebrity? Class?
I not only know what I like to do, I do it. I am a perfectionist. I had the privilege to be a promoter and organize one of the largest fashion festivals in India “Rajasthan Fashion Week”. Later on, I produced films, sang songs, made amazing real estate and dived from the tallest building. When I remember the past, I imagine my old selves do all those activities.
But then later onwards a realization struck me:
“I am the moment. Here. Now.”
“I am Sharad Patel, at this very moment!”
“Life is a journey, not a Destination”
I had everything any man or woman could aspire for: Wealth, Comfort, Status and my own Real Estate Business. I have successfully completed projects related to residential and commercial properties. Many of them have won accolades for high quality. Yet, I don’t intend to rest on my laurels.
Because I feel I still have much to do. There’s only so much one can do, but it’s on my list and I’m just warming up.
“Failures are Their Own Reward”
I’ve had the privilege to work in various capacities as a businessman, singer, producer and adventurer. I’ve worn many hats. I am surprised by my own success so far in fields so diverse and varied. I lose myself in my work. Later, I marvel at what I’ve achieved.
However, failures have taught me more than success. I’ve still got many projects to boot and my work leads me to the fast-track highways of life. My pace is too fast enough to make everyone go mad. Except for me. Always keep this saying in mind: “We need Muscles of Iron and Nerves of Steel.”
My Love: Cinema
No politician, general or king could move the masses like how a filmmaker can. The power to talk to hundreds of millions of people for two hours in the dark with images made an impression on me. As soon as I had this realization, I decided that I wanted to be a filmmaker. I had this utter clarity that this was going to be my life and ever since then, I’ve done projects that I had been really excited about. In short, if I like it, I do it. Period.
BRINGING PROJECTS INTO NOTICE
Producing a movie is a job half done. The major part lies in promoting it. Frankly, it would be completely worthless if any movie doesn’t have a promotional budget. Even low budget films have some form of promotion and marketing. This is why I always make extra efforts in this direction. When the camera lights flash & promotional speeches are met with applause, only then I do know I’ve played my part well. The rest is for the audience and critics to deal with the films we make. Others will write to me about them, while I do what I must: Work.
My Life: Creation
While films are like dreams for many, I’ve built dreams for those who seek to find a place, either to live in or to do business with. It is satisfying to see our clients find their perfect home or a perfect, business location. Picture perfect settings & ambiance leave great memories for them. And that makes me happy.
My Travels: Everywhere
Routine is More Lethal than Adventure Ever Will Be. I keep traveling around the world to see sights never seen, to remember them in each image, the emotions captured imperfectly, yet somewhat within the grasp of my memories. Each and every one of them become enriched as I find new places & live each moment.
My Passion: Singing
I don’t Sing in the Shower, I Perform.
I never trained myself in singing. I think it won’t matter. Just hear me out. You’ll be surprised. Trust me.
Think Out Loud
I hope to write things worth plagiarizing, I really hope. Go ahead and run them through Google. You’ll know what I mean.
My Online Avatars
I’ve got my virtual selves in various Social Media platforms. It has become difficult for me to be online these days, but I do my best to be in touch. Want to say hi? Well, go ahead.
