‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ Movie Review
A well played script with a good bowling line and length. Missing a few expected googlies though!
Already creating a record prior to its release with 4,500 screens across 60 countries; ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ has been a well executed movie, with sharp performance from all the artists.
Started off a railway employee, later on termed as a cool captain, Dhoni has been viewed as a player responsible for a positive transition in the national cricket Team. It is worth appreciating the efforts put in by Sushant Singh to exactly replicate Dhoni in every way possible, from the helicopter shot to his style of speaking at the post match ceremonies. Getting completely into the skin, Sushant has quite diligently replicated this infamous character and left the spectators asking for more. Though the story only describes his life till 2011, the story has been successful in throwing light on the life of Dhoni prior to the famedom he’s achieved, setting an example that you need to work towards your goals, stopping at nothing.
About the rest of the cast; they complete and compliment Sushant in his performance, along with the role played by Disha Patani as Dhoni’s former love interest. The movie is high on emotional tone and makes you realize how one of India’s most loved sport’s person has had his share of ups and down in life.
